You are a famous scientist that is doing an experiment on a type of
butterfly. But before you can do your experiment you have know
about the butterfly. So good luck with your experiment I hope it is a
success!
Your task is to choose one butterfly to research and start by identifying
that butterfly. You will study the stages of that specific butterfly's life cycle. Research the
the butterfly's needs like host plants and nectar plants and also research on where this butterfly lives
and it's population number. Your project is to create a slide show explaining everything you learned.
1. You will need to choose a partner to work with you on this assignment.
2. Think and write notes about what you have already learned about butterflies.
3. Choose one butterfly that looks interesting to you and your partner.
4. Now you can start your research by looking at websites or books at a local library.
5. Locate the common area that your butterfly is normally found in.
6. Get information on the life cycle of your butterfly. Also gather pictures of your butterfly species.
7. Research information on the certain plants that your butterfly likes the most. Include pictures of the plants.
8. Be sure to include one interesting fact that you found out abut your butterfly.
9. Include a paragraph explaining why butterflies are important to you environment.
10. List the sites or books that you got your information from and where your pictures came from.
11. Be ready to give your presentation in front of a group of people.
