The history and life of King Sargon the II is very interesting.  He faced many problems.  One of them was being threatened by Russia.  Another problem was their enemy who was the King of Uratu.  In return it made him use his army of Kalakh.  Also another problem was dealing with Chadeans and Aramaeans in the southern parts of Babylonia.

King Sargon was also interested in engineering.  He also took writing fancy.  One year before he died he was living at the palace of Korsabad in 706 B.C.

King Sargon was the most powerful monarch in the world.  He was surprised when he heard that the Kingdoms of Urartu and Zikirtu joined forces against him.  In 719 B.C. he sent out to destroy his enemy.  The rebels were no match for him.  King Sargon killed his enemy.

King Sargon was one of Assyria’s greatest kings.  He was also a Hebrew.  After his brother died he had to resume the conquests at the throne.  King Sargon enjoyed poetry.  He may have introduced recording cuneiform texts on wax.

King Sargon`s eighth companion was god Ashur.  King Sargon led armies around modern As-Sulaimanyah in Iraq.  The purpose of this war was to aid the allies.  During the war his companion watched from the top of a mountain.  Finally King Sargon had a son named Sennacherib.
