In the beginning, middle, and the end we are going to talk to you about the city Ur. Some of the topics are daily life, art, writing, architecture, and geography. The one topic I’m going to start with is daily life. The city Ur is really ancient and is famous for the Sumerians in Asia or the area known as Mesopotamia.

Daily Life

What happened in Daily Life? Well if you want to know you’re lucky because my partner and I are going to tell you what happened in daily life in the city Ur. Now here are some facts on daily life they used cloth or/and animal fur for clothing. The animal fur was from wolves and other animals. Their god would be offered a meal everyday. Each day the meal had lots of different foods in it including 60 birds, 8 lambs, 3 ostrich eggs, and 2 vessels of milk. They would use mud and clay to make dishes and pottery. They would also use mud to make benches. They would also use fire for cooking.

Art, Writing, and Architecture

Art, Writing, and Architecture were very valuable stuff back then. Like the headdress or the bull-headed lyre. The bull-headed lyre was contained with treasures of the colors gold, silver, and precious stones. The bull-headed lyre was found by the British consul J.E. Taylor. This sculpture was shown in the British museum after they showed it in British museum they showed it in the University of Pennsylvania.
